A resident of Saint-Lys (Haute-Garonne), southwest of Toulouse, suffered a scam on the Leboncoin online sales site a few days ago, by receiving a jar of ratatouille instead of a iPhone, report France Bleu Occitanie Monday 23 August.
This man had paid the iPhone 11 for an amount of 264 euros, to a private seller. Payment, he said, was made via secure payment on the website. A few days later, in the package received at the relay point, it was not the smartphone, but a pot of ratatouille.
The buyer then contacted the seller again, who did not want to know anything. The latter, who deposited the package in a relay in Seine-et-Marne, claims to have sent the iPhone. The victim plans to file a complaint with the Saint-Lys gendarmerie and he hopes to be reimbursed by Leboncoin.
