Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2021 – the most beautiful robes of the evening

After a year of forced breaks due to coronavirus, in The 55th year of Karlovy Vary began the most prestigious film festival in Central and Eastern Europe. Several well-known faces of the Czech film industry walked the red carpet in front of the Thermal Hotel.

The film Zátopek, with which the festival started and which had its world premiere here, was taken by the filmmakers director David Ondříček, actors Václav Neužil, Martha Issová and Australian James Frecheville. In addition, Jitka Čvančarová, Jitka Schneiderová, Zuzana Stivínová, Miroslav Donutil and Bolek Polívka showed up on the first evening.

What robes did they show?

By far the most beautiful was Jitka Schneiderová, whose make-up and hair were taken care of by professionals from Wella and Douglas. In the beautiful white evening toilet of the Chloe brand with details of small flowers, she was a real movie star. The cut, cleverly covering the shoulders, was elegant and modern at the same time. A handbag from Bottega Veneta and Bvlgari jewelry perfectly complemented the overall diva look.

Charming Hana Vagnerová

On the gala evening, Hana Vagnerová performed in a close-fitting black model on one shoulder by the Czech designer Lukáš Macháček. The charismatic blonde was a great example of the fact that correctly chosen accessories, such as an unconventional bracelet in her case, can elevate relatively simple dresses to sartoral perfection.

Traditionally, it also landed for the wife of the festival director Jiří Bartoška, ​​Andrei, actresses Martha Issová and Klára Issová. It complemented the falling burgundy dress on thin straps with Alo Diamonds jewelry worth 1.4 million Czech crowns.

Daniela Peštová was also present

Daniela Peštová seemed to be flooding the red carpet with the sun. The model chose a gold metallic dress, the shimmering design of which gave them splendor. However, distinctive jewelry was not necessary in this case, it would be enough for a little more inconspicuous.

Jitka Čvančarová was unmissable

Jitka Čvančarová, who must not miss the festival, reached for Gismondi jewelry and a grandiose evening gown by Boris Hanečka. He used 25 meters of silk fabric for the clothes and their production took 32 hours.

He also prepared a purse. The fact that Jitka was really unmissable cannot be debated. When they got out of the car, they even had to help her with her clothes. Their color and sophistication were beautiful, especially in the vicinity of the cleavage, but unfortunately, as a result, they acted unnecessarily powerfully on Jitka’s figure and visually shortened her torso in the photos.

Zuzana Stivínová was also disappointed. Even Cartier jewelry did not save too simple and uninteresting dresses, under which small imperfections stood out.

The Oscar-winning actor attracted the most attention

In addition to the ladies and what they were wearing, the 88-year-old Michael Caine attracted the most attention. The British Oscar-winning actor came from the hands of the festival director Jiří Bartoška to receive the Crystal Globe award for his extraordinary artistic contribution to world cinema.

“It was the biggest round of applause I’ve ever received. I started out as someone who had nothing. Gradually I worked out and I was very lucky to work. And now I get an award for what I love the most in my life, “said Caine, who will present Bestsellers at the festival, in which he plays the lead role.

The ceremony was opened by a show of Cabanov brothers and culminated in a concert version of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by fireworks. The evening was moderated by Marek Eben. Due to uncertainties regarding the coronavirus and changes to the regulations, the organizers did not present a new sign this year.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will run until August 28. In the second half, they will honor him with their visit American film stars Johnny Depp and Ethan Hawke. Director Jan Svěrák will receive the award for his contribution to Czech cinematography.
