Arrested in Palma for forcing two women into prostitution 21 hours a day

They lived and worked in a apartment in a quartering regime and were subjected to surveillance inside and outside the building, when they were left for a while to air out. They were obliged to attend to all the clients, even if they were not to their liking, and The now detainees kept it. For these criminal acts, the Police have arrested this week a 52-year-old Spanish man and two m Colombian women aged 26 and 27 after accusing them of various crimes related to prostitution and belonging to a criminal group. The investigation began on August 24 when the Police received the complaint of two foreign women who were being forced to prostitute themselves on that floor . The victims managed to escape to file the complaint. Apparently, they were deceived in their country of origin with the promise that they would work as maids or as housekeepers for a significant sum of money. Those arrested knew that they were going through a delicate economic situation and that they needed income. Once in Spain, they took away their passports, locked them up in this apartment and forced them into prostitution with the threat of harming them or their families in their own country. The police operation remains open and new arrests are not ruled out.
