A fugitive fleeing from German justice with a European arrest warrant for drug trafficking is arrested in Barcelona

The detainee allegedly belongs to a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking considered very dangerous by the German authorities. The investigation began when the Fugitive Group learned from the German authorities that the couple of the investigated could be in our territory. The detainee was wanted by the German police and was involved in several marijuana and cocaine transactions over a long period of time with which he would have achieved a great economic benefit. Despite the initial difficulties in locating the presence of the fugitive in Catalonia, finally , and thanks to the investigative efforts, the address of the person under investigation was located in luxury apartments in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona. With this information, the GRAF requested support from the Regional Area of ​​Operational Resources (ARRO) of Barcelona, ​​which joined the monitoring device with the main objective of carrying out the arrest of the individual with maximum security conditions. Thus, during the afternoon of October 27, several police officers began a discreet monitoring of the man with the aim of specifying the moment of carrying out the intervention in such a way that it could be carried out safely without danger by the agents or by third parties. Finally, the agents arrested the wanted man without incident when he was walking with his partner along a street in Ciutat Vella. The detainee was taken to court and the judge ordered his entry into prison pending his extradition.
