The Segovia Shared Custody Association has called the act, in which Olivia’s father, Eugenio García, was present, who this Tuesday at noon has been sheltered by the Segovian town of Torrecaballeros, a town with which the girl was linked as her paternal family resided there. In the concentration in the main square of Segovia, Several members of the convening association have also participated, including the president, Néstor Fernández, who have carried a banner that read “Olivia, always in our memory”. After keeping five minutes of silence, those present have placed candles next to Olivia’s name drawn on the floor with white candles. For his part, the girl’s father has indicated that the situation “overwhelms him” and that the real protagonist “of all this” is Olivia, who “has moved to another place.” Likewise, the father recalled that he had been fighting “tirelessly” for five years for the custody that he obtained on Friday, when he was able to “finally promise ” to the girl who “came back home”. In turn, he pointed out that he had the whole bridge to be with Olivia but that with the sentence the roles were reversed and it was the mother’s turn. For this reason, he took the girl to Gijón on Saturday morning, the last time he saw her. Finally, he stressed that he would like to be kept in a showcase in a museum, as if it were “something from the past”, with a plaque that could read that he is “the last father who buried his daughter for a nonsense.” For his part, Fernández has stressed that it is not a “war of men and women”, but that It’s a “bad people versus good people” one. Subsequently, five minutes of silence were observed, interrupted by general applause.
