A road in Huelva full of curves converted into a ‘speed circuit’: “They do races at more than 100 km/h”

It is a journey of just over 30 kilometers. The distance that separates the Huelva towns of La Palma del Condado and Berrocal. The HU-4103 has become a real speed circuit for motorcycles and large displacement cars, according to the residents of the area. “A road with a good surface, full of sharp curves and slopes,” explains Juan Romero, a resident of Berrocal, to NIUS. The perfect ingredients to turn it into a race track. “We left scared because they put us all in danger,” he says. The speed is limited to 60 km / hour, 30 in some sections, but the neighbors see how they exceed 100 km / hour. “They race in broad daylight, especially on weekends and holidays. They come from all over Andalusia”, laments the neighborhood spokesman. This Sunday, there was a collision between a motorcycle and a car, just the same day that several residents of the town alerted the 112 emergency service, of the presence of cars and motorcycles at high speed. “They endanger the cyclists who are in the area and the people who have orchards and farms and access this road daily,” says this neighbor. Police presence and radars A road that is “essential” for these neighbors and that is becoming in a black point of danger. They ask for more police presence and dissuasive measures, such as mobile radars, to prevent this situation from escalating. “It gets progressively worse year after year,” laments the spokesman who assures that he has come to count a hundred motorcycles one after another. “They organize races, break records and then upload it to social networks,” he denounces. The neighbors are fed up and know that, sooner or later, they will have to mourn a victim because of the speed and the risk.
