An Afghan guard was killed in an exchange of fire early in the morning, Monday, August 23, at Kabul airport, prompting the intervention of German and American forces, according to the German army. “There was an exchange of gunfire between Afghan guards and unidentified assailants at the north gate of Kabul airport. One Afghan guard was killed and three others wounded.”, she said on her Twitter account, adding that German and American soldiers had taken part in “subsequent exchanges of fire”.
