Patients of the L. Pasteur University Hospital (UNLP) in Košice will receive up to half a ton of fruit thanks to the last strong performance of Juraj Barbarič. He also donated half a ton of fruit to seven-year-old Patrik with cerebral palsy.

According to hospital spokeswoman Ladislava Šustová, the holder of many world and Slovak records, she said goodbye to the strong man’s career with a charity event in the high-rise building of the UNLP monoblock, where patients with various diagnoses are treated on the 17th floor.

The well-known strongman at the age of 63 subdued a total of 63 floors (up to 1,638 steps) with a 63-kilo weight in a gold rubbish bin, as he is a long-term employee of a company that disposes of household waste in Košice.

The well-known strongman came to the hospital at the end of June with the idea of ​​contributing his strength to the health of patients. Before the physically demanding ascent, he increased the frequency of training to meet his charitable goal.

“I managed my last performance in my career thanks to hundreds of patients and my great friend Patek, whom I thought about all those hours of climbing with a heavy weight. For me, Paťko is a great hero and a warrior who, despite his illness, attends kindergarten every day and devotes himself to his friends. He will go to school soon and I wish him a lot of strength to handle everything, I thank my employer for his support and I wish all my supporters good health, “ thus Juraj Barbarič officially said goodbye to the force.
