The Slovak striker played 10:52 minutes and scored a minus point. The New York Rangers with Jaroslav Halák lost to Columbus 1:5, the Slovak goalkeeper blocked 16 shots. Regenda started in the fourth attack together with Derek Grant and Max Jones, sent two shots on the Red Wings goal and was close to the first goal in the pro league. At the end of the third period with the score 1:2, he got to two stops after a scrum, but did not push the puck past the goalkeeper Ville Huss. Filip Zadina fouled at the chance, Andrew Copp also went for a penalty after him, but Anaheim could not take advantage of the almost two-minute power play by two players. That was the main difference between the two teams, as Detroit converted as many as three numerical advantages and eventually recorded a clear victory, scoring points in all five duels in the ongoing season. Photo gallery (8) Source: SITA/AP/Paul Sancya Czech forward Dominik Kubalík contributed to his triumph with a goal and two assists, who already scored eight points (3+5) in five duels. In the Rade Wings jersey, he was the first to do so since Paul Coffey, who scored ten points (2+8) in 1993. “I don’t know why, but I feel great. Our power plays are going well and that’s great. We’re not doing anything special, we’re simply moving the puck into better positions,” said the Czech forward. It was already the fifth loss in a row for Anaheim, and apart from the initial triumph at Seattle (5:4 pp), they only got one point. “Those matches are quite similar. Four, five losses per night and we allow the opponents around 40 shots on goal. That’s not enough for this competition,” said forward Adam Henrique. The match did not go well for Halák. Halák also suffered a heavy loss of 1:5, while he largely took it upon himself. The 37-year-old goalkeeper blocked five of the opponent’s 21 shots and had only a 76.2% save success rate. “I was overshadowed by their goalie today. I have to be better in the next game and hopefully help the guys win and get some points. It definitely wasn’t my best performance today,” he told nhl.com. Halák has lost both duels in which he has started this season and has an average of 4.03 goals per game and an 85.2% save success rate. His counterpart, Daniil Tarasov, on the other hand, survived a successful duel when he flashed 30 successful saves and picked up his first victory in the NHL. “It’s amazing, something really special. The guys helped me a lot,” he said. Photo gallery (8) Source: SITA/AP/Noah K. Murray Artemij Panarin scored the Rangers’ only goal and extended his point streak to six games (4+8). This is the most since the beginning of the season in the club’s jersey since 2009/10, when former Slovak winger Marián Gáborík scored in eight consecutive games. Philadelphia lost to San Jose 0:3. The great support of the Sharks was goalkeeper James Reimer, who stopped all 30 shots and recorded the 26th shutout in the NHL. “We didn’t have the best start to the season and that’s why we wanted to finish this trip successfully, which we did. I think we played our best game so far,” he said. Erik Karlsson, Steven Lorentz and Nico Sturm supported him with goals and only the first regular time win of the year. It was only the second loss for the Flyers and the first time they didn’t even score a goal. In addition, they lost forward James van Riemsdyk, who was injured while blocking a shot. Chicago gets going Chicago beat Seattle narrowly 5:4 in a dramatic meeting. The Blackhawks decided on the triumph with two goals within thirteen seconds of the third period and for the second time in the match they managed to turn the unfavorable situation around. First they lost 0:2 and then 3:4. “I think it’s about the level of this team. Everybody works hard no matter what the score is. That’s what we talked about from the beginning,” said two-goal scorer Tyler Johnson. Chicago rallied from two early losses to win its third straight game, while Seattle lost its fourth of five. The fourth triumph was recorded by Florida, which defeated the last team of the Eastern Conference, the New York Islanders, just 3:2. Anton Lundell and Ryan Lomberg scored their first goals of the season, Spencer Knight helped the win with 23 saves. Captain Anders Lee scored twice for the guests in power-ups. The coach of the “Islanders” Lane Lambert can at least be pleased with the fact that his players did not concede in the weakness again and managed all 22 in the ongoing season.
