Russia is attacking Ukraine with Iranian equipment: Tehran prefers not to admit it, neither does Moscow – Novy Chas

Russia continues to use Iranian drones in attacks on targets on Ukrainian territory. The British Ministry of Defense stated this on Monday on the Twitter social network, saying that Kiev is increasingly successful in its efforts to destroy the Shahid-136 drones. Official sources, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claim that up to 85 percent of the attacks have been intercepted. In its regular report on the situation in Ukraine, the Department of Defense in London further writes that Russia is likely using Iranian drones to “breach Ukrainian air defenses and as a substitute for Russian high-precision, long-range weapons, which are increasingly in short supply.” In his speech at the weekend, Zelensky admitted that in the current wave of attacks, Russian forces are hitting large areas of Ukraine – in the west, in the central part of the country, and in the south. Russian forces have knocked out more than a third of Ukraine’s power plants during attacks over the past week, causing widespread blackouts. Both Moscow and Tehran deny the supply of Iranian drones to Russia.
