Jury and organizers had to cancel it already in the morning due to unfavorable weather. The Slovakian representative Petra Vlhová with number 2 did not even get to the start. Originally, the competition was supposed to take place at 10:00 and 13:05, the APA agency first reported that the start of the first round had been moved by an hour, and later the news came about the cancellation of the race. Fresh snow and rain fell in Sölden during the night. On Sunday, the men should also present themselves with brothers Adam and Andreas Žampovci (10.00/13.00). “We are optimistic about Sunday’s race. It will be a chore to prepare the slope in time, we hope the weather calms down in the afternoon so we can start working,” added race director Rainer Gstrein.
