The horror! A plane crashed off the coast of Costa Rica: a well-known businessman – Nový Čas – was traveling on board

Costa Rican authorities confirmed on Saturday that German businessman Rainer Schaller was on board the plane believed to have crashed off the coast of Costa Rica. TASR informs about it based on a Reuters report. The authorities of this Central American country said that during Saturday they managed to find the wreckage of the plane about 28 kilometers from Limón airport. The authorities assume that it is a private plane on which Schaller, the founder of the German gym chain McFit, was traveling. Besides him, several of his relatives were also on board. According to the authorities, there were no signs of people traveling in the wreckage of the plane, writes AFP. Schaller, 53, was traveling with other German citizens, including a 44-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man and two minors. The pilot of the plane was 66 years old and a Swiss citizen. Costa Rican authorities were alerted to the disappearance of the plane, which was headed from Mexico to Límon airport, on Saturday night, Costa Rican Public Security Minister Jorge Torres said. The machine, on which Schaller was also on board, stopped communicating with the control tower near the village of Barra de Parismina, which is located just a few minutes from Límon.
