Thousands of people ask the Community of Madrid for more resources for public health

Several thousand people demonstrate this afternoon in the center of Madrid to demand from the Community of Madrid more resources for the public health system, the improvement of the working conditions of professionals and the increase in financing, in a protest organized by Twenty-six trade union and citizen organizations. With the motto “for quality public health” at the head of the march, where representatives of the Satse, CCOO, Amyts, CSIT-UP and UGT unions have been located, those attending the demonstration They carry posters with slogans such as “Ayuso resigns”, “more health” or “more financing”. The march, which has the support of Más Madrid, PSOE, Podemos and IU, runs from 6:00 p.m. to the area of ​​Seville with the slogan “For public, universal and quality Madrid healthcare”, after numerous partial mobilizations that have taken place in different parts of the region. The protest is part of the announced indefinite strike from next Tuesday by the Satse, CCOO, Amyts, CSIT-UP and UGT unions to stop the new Primary Care emergency model proposed by the Executive of Isabel Díaz Ayuso. The president of the Community of Madrid announced last Thursday in the Madrid Assembly the opening on the 27th of eighty Primary Care emergency devices, which will be called 24-hour Health Centers.
