The Ukrainian Prime Minister warned against the migration crisis during the winter: Without electricity and heating, many people could freeze – Novy Chas

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhaľ, in an interview with the Sunday edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, warned against another influx of war refugees in connection with the recent Russian raids on the territory of his country. TASR received the report from the DPA agency on Saturday. “If there is no more electricity, heating and water in Ukraine, it can trigger a new migration wave tsunami,” Shmyhaľ said in an interview that was available to DPA before it was published. Shmyhaľ accused Russia of wanting to “plunge Ukraine into a humanitarian disaster” by attacking Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. During the approaching winter, many people in Ukraine could freeze to death. Therefore, Šmyhaľ requested “mobile devices for the production of electricity and heat” as well as water treatment devices. He added that fuel for generators is currently still available, but if there are large-scale outages in the supply of electricity and heating, according to him, Ukraine will need more” including “supply of electricity” from the West.
