Strong opinion of Krajniak on the topic of registered partnerships: We are fundamentally against it! This is how he defended his position – Nový Čas

The rules of communication on the Internet should be adjusted, people in the online space should discuss under their own name. The Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family Milan Krajniak (We are a family) and the member of the Slovak National Council Erik Tomáš (unaffiliated) agreed on this in the RTVS discussion show Sobotné dialogy. “The same rules that apply to communication in the real world should also apply in the digital world. Everyone who discusses should discuss under his own name, then you would see how many heroes would disappear from the keyboards,” stated Tomáš. According to him, communication on the Internet is too benevolent. Krajniak agrees with such a preventive measure in the future. “I think it’s absolutely essential that there are people who sign up to discuss the forums,” he said. Krajniak can imagine that in certain situations it would be possible to tap the phone without a judge’s or prosecutor’s order, as suggested by special prosecutor Daniel Lipšic this week. “However, I need to see a specific amendment to the law,” he noted. Tomáš does not agree with such a change. “It’s Lipšic’s initiative. He always comes up with something when something happens to abuse the situation,” he said. In connection with the security situation in Slovakia, Krajniak also sees reserves in technology. “There are probably systems in the world that could map such manifestations faster to the security forces,” he said in reference to the terrorist attack on Zámocká Street in Bratislava. According to him, the country should not apologize in Europe for a terrorist attack. “The state is the victim, not the cause and the culprit,” he declared. According to Tomáš, police unions also need to be strengthened against extremism or terrorism. In the discussion, they also touched on the topic of not approving the SaS deputies’ proposal on cohabitation. According to Krajniak, it is necessary to make life easier for anyone who lives in a joint household. He pointed out that spouses also have a problem with looking at each other’s medical records. He agrees that the LGBTI+ community must be respected and supported, “but it is different from enforcing the ideological demands of the LGBTI+ community, our party does not agree with that,” he added, adding that Slovakia meets all human rights standards. Tomáš responded that the bill was supposed to create a space for discussion of practical issues of all couples, not just same-sex couples. He pointed out that nowadays it is a trend among young people not to get married, but to “live on a pile”. Krajniak fears that if registered partnerships are allowed for the LGBTI+ community in Slovakia, the European Union will also press for the permission of marriages or adoptions. Tomáš added that he does not agree with the adoption of children by couples of the same sex. Both praised the initiative of the Minister of Justice Viliam Karas in connection with the topic of human rights.
