Anna Šišková became pregnant with married Jar Filip: That’s when he completely dumped me – Azet

During her career, Anna Šišková (62) played many different characters, always with a different approach and tone. She also appeared in Czech theaters and films, and in 2000 she won the most important Czech film award for her acting performance – the Czech Lion. Šišková was born on June 30, 1960 in Žilina. Together with her four brothers, she grew up in Vrátná dolina, where her parents ran a hotel and restaurant in the Štefanová settlement near Terchová. Her father wanted her to become a lawyer, but she started acting in a volunteer theater group while still studying at the Púchov grammar school. Challenging life test She was not accepted to the University of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava, so the future actress graduated from the Faculty of Education in Trnava. She already went to the Trnava theater during her studies. There, musician, composer, humorist, playwright and actor Jaro Filip († 51) entered her life. “It was my first great love. Anyone who knew Jaro Filip knew that he was a great lover and that women loved him. He didn’t have to make a great effort to win me over,” Šišková recalled in the Thirteenth Room show. The artist was already married at that time, and Anna did not even expect him to divorce. However, the actress became pregnant with him. “He was the one who wanted the child. He thought it would force him to make a decision. But in the end he made a different decision,” she admitted bitterly. Šišková was faced with the question of whether she would keep the baby or not. She decided to become a mother and that was the end. “That’s when he completely pissed me off,” she added. After the fifth month, she could no longer play, so she found another activity. “When I was pregnant, I went to rehearsals at the theater, but it was unpleasant, because the father of my child was there, who hated me, didn’t want to see me, because I was such a reproach to him,” she described. She also saw the reproach in the eyes of the parents, to whom she returned. She couldn’t stay in the dormitory because of her pregnancy. The unspoken condemnation of her surroundings bothered her a lot. “Instead of supporting me, they condemned me as some stupid cow who complicates her life,” she spoke with anger in her voice. Despite everything, she stood up to the situation with the determination that she will raise a great child, whom Filip will envy. It nourished the strength and energy in the actress, that even if she has no money and an apartment, she can do it. After the birth, everyone turned around and brought little Dorotka clothes and gifts. Later in her life director Juraj Nvota stepped in. The couple had a daughter, Tereza. Their relationship ultimately did not work out and a divorce followed. Šisková was married twice, her next husband was director Jiří Chlumský. Successes in theater and film Despite the fact that she became a single new mother, she has built a successful career. In 2001 and 2003, she won theater awards of the season – DOSKY for her acting creations. She experienced her film premiere at the age of 18. Stanislav Párnický cast her in his film Professor’s Daughter (1981). In the 1980s, she also starred in Dušan Hanák’s film Quiet Joy (1985) and in 1990 in the film Dávajte si pozor!, directed by Jozef Slovák and Jozef Heriban. She came to the attention of Czech audiences after the offer of director Jan Hřebejk to star in his film We have to help (2000). For the role of Mária Čížková in this film, she won the Czech Lion for the best female performance in a leading role. The film was also nominated for an Oscar. Among others, her filmography consists of the films Krajinka (dir. Martin Šulík, 2000), Kruté radosti (dir. Juraj Nvota, 2002), Konečná stanica (dir.
