Sánchez urges the PP to look at the United Kingdom and see the consequences of its tax reduction policies

The President of the Government insists on talking about “social and fiscal justice” He asks the popular to assess how much a heart transplant or free education costs He defends the Government’s commitment to self-consumption because it “democratizes energy” In this sense, he recalled that The Executive has approved ten crisis response packages since June and has advocated drawing lessons from “these hard years” in which those who asked for more support from the Welfare State during the pandemic now “cry for indiscriminate cuts of taxes”. “We are going to defend the Welfare State because it is what unites a nation socially and territorially”, Sánchez remarked, in response to those who “from the right” say that “the money is better in the pockets of the citizens” who value what it costs, for example, a heart transplant with “public, universal and free healthcare” as is the case in Spain, which stands at 90,000 euros, compared to one million and average of dollars that must be paid in the United States. With the more than 3,000 million euros that the Executive intends to collect from these new taxes, he has said, they could be example, the 2,200 million euros allocated to scholarships or 1,200 to Vocational Training. “Public policies have to be financed with public income and those are everyone’s taxes and, especially, those of those who have the most.” PensionsAt this point, he has defended the revaluation of pensions, which account for 12% of the Product Gross Interior, compared to 16% in Germany or 14% in Portugal. Spain’s problem, he stated, is not pensions, but “who has the problem is the political, media and economic right, which wants to turn what is a right into merchandise.” In this regard, he recalled that in November 2020 the Toledo Pact was renewed, with the only opposition of “the far right”, although it reminded the PP, which did vote in favor, that in said pact the revaluation of the same is guaranteed taking into account the cost of life. Well, the President of the Government added, “today the PP does not make clear” its support for this revaluation. “He does not speak clearly, he is ambiguous”, Sánchez has disfigured, to vindicate the work of his Government, which not only guarantees the reduction of the deficit, but also “fills the piggy bank with 3,000 million euros”, thanks to the creation of employment that demonstrates that “it is possible to compete in Europe with quality employment”. In the case of Spain, it has valued the agreement reached with the ‘Iberian solution’ that will mean a saving of 2,900 million euros and that will generate a saving of 35 percent in the lower price than France or 50 percent with respect to Germany. In any case, Spain must continue betting on self-consumption through renewable energies. Thus, he explained that, in the last four years of the socialist government, the installed capacity of wind energy has multiplied by twelve and photovoltaic energy by 142. So far this year, he has clarified, the capacity of self-consumption installed until 2018, compared to the previous PP government that, he recalled, approved a review of renewable energy contracts and launched a tax on the sun to “stop the process of democratization of energy”.
