According to Météo France readings, between 60 and 120 liters of water per square meter have fallen since the beginning of the rain episode and until 4 p.m. on Friday in the Ardèche Cévennes: 120 mm at La Souche, 110 mm at Barnas, 107mm at Péreyres, 85mm at Loubaresse, 61mm at Mazan. But the rainy-stormy axis shifted more quickly than expected, from this Friday morning, on a wide band stretching from southern Ardèche to Valence and Romans, turning into a Mediterranean episode. We already exceed 130 millimeters at the height of the Col de l’Escrinet between Aubenas and Privas and more than 80 mm in certain places in the Drôme. The rains are sometimes torrential. Among the significant readings of Météo France this Friday: 18 millimeters of water in 6 minutes in Mirabel-aux-Baronnies (Drôme) between 9 a.m. and 9:06 a.m., 40 millimeters in one hour in Grospierres (Ardèche) and Visan (Vaucluse, enclave of the popes ) and 30 millimeters at Vernoux-en-Vivarais in half an hour between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
