Defender wears goalie gloves: Trenčians take a draw from Rye Island – Sports

DUNAJSKÁ STREDA – Players in FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda drew on the pitch with their opponent from the AS Trenčín club in the ratio 1: 1. Dunajská Streda had to do without three players of the basic team, Kružliak, Balič and Schäfer were missing. In addition, he moved to SönderjyskE Taiwo, Denmark, during the week. Trenčín did not do without complications either, Lucas Demitra was supposed to be in the basic line-up, but he was injured during the warm-up. Trenčín threatened already in the 6th minute, the pass from the left side flowed through Gaži to the goal, the blocking Kadák was blocked by Davis. After 13 minutes, another chance for Trenčín came, Gaži went through on the right hand side, but Rahim sent him back to the right side. Trenčín had the upper hand in the first half, the DAC did not reach the end. With 24 minutes played, Trenčín put themselves up 0 – 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Kadák, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Davisa’s Beskorovainyi after 33 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 – 1 lead. Four minutes later, Lavrinčík’s shot from a distance ended right next to it. After 44 minutes Divkovič could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors’ keeper.

The better home team started the second half and they could immediately take the lead. In the 48th minute, after Ciganik’s pass, Nicolaescu hit the crossbar. With 54 minutes played, Lavrinčík nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. A counterattack by DAC after 58 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but Gaži, coming in on the right, couldn’t get the shot off. At home, Dimun tried a shot from outside the box. With 74 minutes played, Rymarenko nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Divkovič could have increased the lead after 78 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. After 90 minutes, Sharani came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to put away the 1 – 0 goal, giving Trenčína the lead. Madu stood in the gate. In the last minutes, the emotions of the player were Hlinka. Even the numerous advantage was not enough for Dunajská Streda to score a goal, the teams parted in a draw.
