TRADE UNIONS – Inform the press, but not the main stakeholders. Jean-Michel Blanquer unveiled this Sunday, August 22, during an interview with JDD, the health protocol that will be deployed at the start of the school year in establishments. The problem: this information necessary for the organization of the start of the school year has not been communicated to the main concerned, namely the educational teams and the unions.
The latter expressed their anger on social networks, calling on the Minister of Education to share his information with them rather than giving it exclusively to a media. Some are indignant at having to buy the JDD to be able to know the device they will have to put in place in a few days to welcome the students.
“Could you communicate directly with your executives rather than with the media? […] Is it normal to learn about the organization of the return to school through the press? ”, denounces the secretary general of SNPDEN-UNSA, Bruno Bobkiewicz
“When we respect the teachers, we write the measures taken in a circular distributed to the staff. We do not strut in the media by making announcements unrelated to reality ”, asserts SUD Education.
“Once again the staff learn about the conditions of entry into the press, and in addition in an article reserved for subscribers! This level of contempt is surreal! ”, Also indignant the SNES-FSU.
“The JDD becomes the return flyer. Paying. I did not expect to experience this one day ”, laughs the Snuipp82, stunned. “It’s Sunday, it seems that Jean-Michel Blanquer has given directions for the start of the school year but he has not sent anything to the teachers, surprising no? Okay, so I’m going to have to buy the JDD to find out because my employer does not pay me this subscription ”, pricks the general secretary and spokesperson for the first SNUIPP-FSU primary union, Guislaine David, disconcerted.
“Level 2” protocol and vaccination campaign
Jean-Michel Blanquer announced that a vaccination campaign through middle and high schools will begin at the start of the school year for students over 12 who wish. The protocol adopted for the start of the September 2 in mainland France is the so-called “level 2” course: face-to-face lessons in schools, colleges and high schools, indoor mask compulsory from primary school onwards, restriction of mixing by level and reinforced ventilation.
While vaccination is open in France to over 12 years, “in all colleges and high schools in France, students and staff will have access to the vaccine, near or within their establishment”, also indicated the Minister of ‘National Education.
“Depending on the situation, either mobile teams will come to vaccinate in the establishments, or we will organize the movement of student volunteers, in connection with the health services, to the vaccination centers,” he said.
About 55% of 12-17 year olds have already received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine since this summer.
