In Izium, the survival of Ukrainians during the Russian occupation

Margarita’s young family survived more than five months under Russian occupation, in the long frontline town of Izium. His house was hit three times: first by a tank explosion, then by artillery fire, and finally by a cluster bomb that fell in the garden. Margarita asked the Russian soldiers to give her food to feed her family, but there was nothing suitable for an infant… Antonina, mother of three, could not escape on arrival either Russians, then 7 months pregnant. She now dreams of taking refuge in Germany, to offer respite to her children, in the hope of returning later. “Our schools and our kindergartens are completely destroyed, and there is no proper medical care, she explains I want to live, not just survive.”
