Montpellier. Terrible accident: a mother and her two children hit by a car

Terrible accident this Saturday night, on avenue de Monsieur Teste, between the districts of Celleneuve and La Martelle, Montpellier : a “crazy” car mowed down a mother – on foot – and her two children. The latter, aged 8 and 9, circulated on scooters, according to our information. The youngest is in absolute urgency.

The vehicle left the road after the very violent impact and rolled over. In addition to the mother of about 40 years and the two children, two other injured, a man and another woman, are rescued. Slightly affected, they would be the occupants of the damaged car.

At 9:15 p.m., all the victims were medicated on site. Large rescue resources – firefighters from the Tuesday 34 with four barracks mobilized, both from Montpellier, Assas and Fabrègues, i.e. twenty helmets, doctors from the Smur-Samu 34– are engaged. The avenue is cut in both directions by Public Security police officers, in a climate of tension. The hypothesis of an accident is privileged, but the emotion is very strong in the adjoining residences.
