US core inflation higher than expected in September

(AOF) – Inflation in the United States stood at +0.4% in September when it was expected to increase by 0.2% after rising by 0.1% in August. Excluding the volatile elements of energy and food, inflation increased by 0.0.6% in September after rising by 0.6% in August. The consensus stood at 0.5%.
