Sandrine Rousseau acclaimed during the EELV summer days – Le HuffPost

PARTIS – Delphine Batho and degrowth, Jean-Marc Governatori and his centrist ecology, Sandrine Rousseau and its ecofeminism, took over this Friday August 20 the main stage of the Ecologist Summer Days in Poitiers to defend their candidacies for the September primary.

The draw wanted the two favorites Yannick Jadot and Eric Piolle follow one another on the stage Thursday and these three outsiders string together their own “white cards” of one hour each on Friday evening.

The economist and ex-number 2 of the party Sandrine Rousseau, considered by many to be the only one of the three to be able to thwart the forecasts, was very acclaimed by the crowd gathered in the amphitheater.

She gave a discourse of assumed radicalism: “Our entire economic, social and societal system is based on the triptych: we take, we use and we throw away. The body of women, the body of racialized people. We no longer want that and that is the revolution that I am proposing to you. (…) For that it will take political courage. And courage, I have. Anger, I am filled with it. I am steeped in radicalism ”.

Sandrine Rousseau and her supporters also took advantage of Friday to deny any altercation with Eric Piolle. “In reality Sandrine was responding to journalists when Piolle arrived with a horde of microphones and cameras. They did not change course despite the presence of Sandrine, it created a stampede. The violence was rather symbolic ”, confides a collaborator of the economist to Release. The candidate assures her that she was jostled by a journalist.

Eric Piolle also denied on Europe 1, denouncing attempts at division within the “environmental family”. Going to talk, Sandrine Rousseau posted on Twitter a photo in which she poses with Eric Piolle.

The candidate’s carte blanche was followed by that of the entrepreneur Jean-Marc Governatori who, in front of a sparse assembly, pleaded for his “ecology at the center”. Wanting to develop “a France of the vegetable garden” creating millions of jobs in agriculture, he said “believe a lot in the principle of responsibility”: “It is always the fault of Macron, of the unions, of Brussels, of someone. one else. We have an ”individual responsibility.

As for the deputy Delphine Batho, she played the card of proximity and exchange by setting up her desk on the lawn, at the bottom of the raised stage. Long introduced by ex-LREM deputy Cédric Villani, which annoyed some in the audience which had become numerous again, she pleaded for environmentalists to assume the concept of “degrowth”, dividing opinion.

Speaking against “presidentialization”, she assumed not to give precise measurements or figures, wanting to co-construct them with the citizens, in the event that she would be appointed in September.
