A fierce argument broke out under Nicholson’s status about the tragedy: The car killers Kralevich and Skrúcaný also got involved – Topky.sk

Video: The accident on Zochova Street in Bratislava claimed five lives According to Nicholson, the brutal act on Sunday could be a reminder to think about the way of driving on Slovakian roads. “Certainly it should be a reminder to get rid once and for all of all kinds of Rezeš, Skrúcany, Pall and others who killed behind the wheel and received a ridiculous sentence just because they sell collagen on Instagram, have money and are friends with politicians. Let’s finally have more!,” she said in the post, where she compared her experience with the behavior of drivers on our roads compared to abroad, for example Belgium, where she spends a lot of time as an MEP. “Enough of Kralevich, The End of Twisted and Rezeš. Let’s do more,” she stated right in his introduction. It was this sentence that became a bone of contention between her and the first named from a series of personalities – entrepreneur and missionary Daniela Kralevich. In 2020, she hit an 18-year-old student Linh at a pedestrian crossing, who succumbed to her injuries. Kralevich recalled that she did not blow up behind the wheel on the fateful day. She described the very status of the MEP as hyenistic. “I apologize for such comments… and such political exploitation of tragic events by someone who has completed primary school! My accident was not under the influence of alcohol, not even speed or using a mobile phone. It was, unfortunately, a huge misfortune… You somehow forgot about Lipšice!,” she protested. She wasn’t the only one. Photo gallery (2) Source: Facebook/Lucia Ď. Nicholsonová Štefan Skrúcaný also called, whom Nicholsonová also named. He also caused an accident in the past in which a pedestrian died. “I wish you many happy kilometers Mrs. Nicholson… and I’m a little sad that you took it ‘flat’… it’s very superficial… even Mr. Lipšic already understood…,” he wrote. “Mr. Skrúcaný, I have nothing against you personally, not at all, we have met in person a few times. But I consider it absurd that a person should be given a suspended sentence for killing a person, however unintentionally,” wrote Nicholson. According to her, the law is meant to protect the most vulnerable, and those are pedestrians and cyclists in road traffic. “This is how the laws are set up in many Western European countries, and therefore, drivers do not allow themselves to exceed the speed limit, do not give priority to pedestrians at the crossing, do not slow down before crossing, etc. I am convinced that aggressive behavior on Slovak roads and non-observance of the rules are punishable by even low penalties, especially in mediatized cases. Even this driver who killed five people shouted after getting out of the car: Do you know who I am? Somehow we have gotten used to the fact that big names get away with everything. Attention, I am not saying that there are no x-differences between your accident and this one. I am in contact with people from Cykkoalícia, who have been pointing this out for years, including the reduction of the max. speed in cities and more controls aimed at measuring speed not only on highways, but also in cities and towns. Perhaps the voice of our celebrities would help to make this topic visible. Because it’s really sad how uncultured we behave on our roads,” added the MEP. Bazovský joined the discussion Even traffic analyst Ján Bazovský reacted to Nicholson’s status. “Lucia, very careful with the labelling. I could write enough about drunk athletes, journalists, enough drunk or arrogant politicians. Many drivers take an example from the latter. You have a comprehensive status, but you didn’t get the essence of drunks on the roads. The police and, finally, the whole society have continuous information about their growing number. And measures? None. There is nothing to brag about when the police catch a drunk driver. How many kilometers did he travel and how many people could he kill before he was caught?,” he asks. He recalled that since the establishment of the Slovak Republic, around 20,000 people, or one complete district town, have died on the roads. “In the case of the pandemic, the only difference is the billions of euros that have been poured into its management. And how much for travel and transport in 30 years? Nothing. No politician knows how to build even the second highway from Bratislava to Košice. And for drunk drivers, you have to start where they drank and where they got into the car. Although many see them and even help them, no one wants to prevent them from driving (and save many lives). How to teach road users to be responsible when you, the politicians, give them the opposite examples?,” he added.
