The star of the movie Kill Bill has died. He died in the hospital, where he was treated for Covid-19, for which he was not vaccinated – HNonline.sk

Japanese actor Sonny Chiba, known for his martial arts skills, died Thursday at the age of 82. The AP agency informed about it on Friday.

Chiba died in a hospital near Tokyo, where he was treated for COVID-19 from August 8. According to his manager, the actor was not vaccinated against coronavirus.

Chiba was born on January 22, 1939 in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan. He studied at Nippon Sport Science University, where he trained various martial arts and obtained a black belt in the fourth degree in karate.

He began acting in films in Japan in the 1960s. He played samurai, warriors and police detectives, or negative heroes.

His career in the United States began in the 1970s, after The Street Fighter won the audience’s favor, writes the AP. Director Quentin Tarantino cast him in his 2003 film Kill Bill. Chiba has three children; all are dedicated to acting.
