CORONAVÍRUS The conditions of entry into the Czech Republic will change: People from these countries will have problems – Topky

Another Czech news portal, iDNES.cz, adds to the current pandemic situation that from Monday, the return to the Czech Republic will be difficult from Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Monaco and from Spain and Switzerland. These countries are moving on the travel map into the category of high rates of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection.

Countries with a very high level of risk will be joined by Montenegro, Kosovo, Lebanon, Northern Macedonia, Israel and the United States. On the contrary, an easier return awaits those coming from the Netherlands and Malta. The changes will also take place in the case of other countries, but they will not affect the regime upon arrival in the Czech Republic.

The obligation of testing and self-isolation upon return does not apply to people who have completed vaccination or have confirmation that they have overcome COVID-19 in the last 180 days, emphasizes iDNES.cz.

About half a percent of those vaccinated did not arrive at the second dose

The second dose of vaccination against covid has not yet reached more than 28,000 Czechs who have been vaccinated with the first dose. This is about 0.5 percent of the total number vaccinated in the Czech Republic. Another more than 5,000 people had to postpone the second term due to their infection. It follows from the data of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics (ÚZIS), the Novinky.cz server informed on Saturday.

The state launched vaccinations against covid last December. Since then, almost 5.7 million first doses have been given. So far, 5.4 million people have completed vaccination. According to IHIS data, this corresponds to almost 68 percent vaccination of the Czech population. There are also people who have been vaccinated with the first dose but have not arrived at the second for various reasons. According to the IHIS data validated on 5 August, 28,054 people did not show up for the second dose by the specified date, and the exact reason for them is not yet known.

An obstacle for these people could be, for example, illness, they could also give preference to a long-planned vacation or other personal matters. At the end of June, the state did not allow, for reasons other than health, to postpone the date of the second dose, and some people were forced to choose. Another 5,500 other people could not receive the second dose on time because they became infected and overcame the covid in the interim period from the first dose. According to IHIS director Ladislav Dušek, the infection occurred “very shortly after the first dose, when they could not yet be protected”.

Approximately 1,250 people were unable to complete vaccination for another serious illness or death ahead of schedule. “Approximately 62 percent of those vaccinated who did not receive the second dose due to very serious health reasons or death were people over the age of 80. Also, seniors over the age of 65 make up 50 percent of the group where the reason for not receiving the second dose is unknown.” the head of health statisticians approached.

Seniors are the most vaccinated

In the Czech Republic, it is vaccinated with two-dose vaccines Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Astra-Zeneca, as well as a single-dose vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, Novinky notes. The most vaccinated group of the Czech population is currently the elderly, specifically the 70-79 age group, where 82 percent of people have completed vaccination.
