Although it lacks the suffix -ová at the end of the name, it is Slovak like beets. Viktória Forster shone at the Junior World Championships in Nairobi, when she took sixth place in a strong competition in the 100 m run.

A native of Horehronie (April 8, 2002), she was originally involved in biathlon. She has 11 titles of Slovak student champion in the showcase.

The sport, which is dominated in Slovakia by other well-known natives from Brezno, sisters Paulín and Ivona Fialková, was later exchanged for athletics.

As the portal informs Atletika.sk, Forster was first trained by Breznian coach Jana Chrenová, then taken over by Katarína Adlerová.

“When I saw Victoria run live for the first time, I thought: The girl has dynamite in her legs. All you have to do is unlock it, “Adler recalled.

In 2019, she brought talent from Horehronie to fourth place at 200 m and sixth at 100 m at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku.

Then Forster also premiered in the senior national team in the I. league of the 2019 European Championship teams in Sandnes. At the indoor M-SR of adults 2020 in Elán, she set the Slovak junior record for 200 m in 24.58 seconds.

Forster’s big goal is to participate in five circles. “I want to get to the Olympics one day, it’s every athlete’s dream,” she admitted.

She also starts in Nairobi for 100 m over obstacles, where she advanced to the finals today. In Friday’s 1st semifinal, she took 2nd place with a time of 13.59 seconds, which meant a direct advance.

She lagged behind her own Slovak junior record from the June Slovak Championships in Trnava by only one hundredth. The final will take place on Saturday at 15.00 CET (there is an hour more in Nairobi).
