Ján Kerekréti dropped out in the plenary session: Collapse of the deputy before the vote! What actually happened? – New time

Unexpected drama on the parliamentary grounds! In a tense atmosphere during the dismissal of Igor Matovič (49) from the position of Minister of Finance in the parliament on Thursday, OĽaNO deputy Ján Kerekréti (78) resigned. The vote on the head of OĽaNO, which was supposed to take place in the early evening, was finally postponed to Tuesday. What actually happened? Kerekréti collapsed only about an hour before the deputies were supposed to decide on Matovič. The whole thing took place right in the plenary, while Kerekréti was immediately saved by the deputies present. A group gathered around him and gave him first aid. Shortly afterwards, rescuers entered the building and took him away. The deputy should have had health problems for a long time. According to Pravda, he may have had an epileptic seizure. The head of the National People’s Congress of the Slovak Republic, Boris Kollár, later informed that the deputy is already conscious and the paramedics took him to the hospital. The deputy’s collapse was a symbolic dramatic end to a hectic day, during which sparks flew through the parliament between supporters and opponents of Matovič, and until the last moment it was not clear how the vote on his dismissal would turn out. Originally, the deputies were supposed to decide on his fate already in the morning, but Matovič himself extended it when he spoke for more than two hours. The legislators had to postpone the appeal attempt again. In the end, that did not happen even in the early evening precisely because of the collapse of the government deputy. All parliamentary clubs agreed to end the meeting and postponed it until today, but the actual vote on Matovič will not take place until Tuesday.
