He moved! Heger offered Čaputova a new nominee: Who should become the Minister of Education? – New time

Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) offered a new nominee for the vacant post of Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sports to Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová on Monday afternoon (26 September). This was confirmed for TASR by the spokesperson of the President of the Slovak Republic, Martin Strižinec. “The date of appointment of the new Minister of Education has not yet been determined,” Strižinec said. In this regard, TASR also contacted the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, which has not yet responded to the questions. After SaS left the government, the post of Minister of Education remained vacant. For now, the prime minister is temporarily in charge of managing the department. The prime minister’s spokeswoman Ľubica Janíková also confirmed to TASR on Tuesday that the name of the candidate for the post of head of the Ministry of Education was handed over to the president. The name of the substitute Branislav Gröhling (SaS) was not specified. According to information from the Aktuality.sk portal, the aforementioned candidate for the post of Minister of Education is Ján Horecký, a teacher and former president of the Association of Catholic Schools of Slovakia.
