EU, 6 thousand children victims of the road in 10 years

Six thousand children and young people in the EU were victims of the road between 2011 and 2020. This is the figure contained in a report by the European Council, which indicates that 467 of them were Italian. In the European Union, road accidents represent 6.5% of all causes of death in childhood. In 2021 alone, 28 children and young people in Italy lost their lives in road accidents, 23 of them were between 5 and 14 years old.
