We feel incredible support from the people,” Dúbravka mayor Martin Zaťovič told topky.sk. Together with his wife – Vice Mayor of Bratislava Zdenka Zaťovičová, he collected almost 7,000 signatures. The mayor of Záhorská Bystrica, Jozef Krúp, managed to collect the same amount. He became the leader of the newly created all-Slovak entity at the constituent assembly. Party members are carefully selected After the success of the registration, a number of interested parties began to “knock on the door”. More than 600 candidates wanted to use their popularity and popularity to guarantee a certain success in the municipal elections. “Although we are a new party, we were not willing to give support to everyone. It was not and is not about quantity, but we focus on quality. It was important that only those candidates who are professionally qualified to hold public office and are also morally upright should go under our brand,” explained the leader of SOM Slovakia, Jozef Krúpa. After a thorough search, less than half received the support of the new party. The party presidency has decided that potential candidates will be required to have a clean criminal record and to settle all liabilities – to the Tax Office, Social and Health Insurance.
