As a result of his injuries, 52 staples had to be placed in his leg. The event occurred last Saturday, around 4:00 p.m., in the Carballido-Pedreda-Bóveda hunting ground. The man had been attacked by the animal when he had finished the hunt. The victim, Luis Fernández, has reported that the attack occurred after a group of hunters injured the animal. The boar had escaped and he had gone to look at the trail of blood he had left, without finding anything, so he decided to go to the car. When he was next to his vehicle, the hunter felt “like a blow to the leg” . “It was a strong impact, it knocked me to the ground and I saw that it was the bug,” he added. After falling on his back, according to his account, he observed how the wild boar remained “a meter” from him. “I calmed down when I saw that he had the rifle, that it had not fallen from my hands and I shot him and he fell instantly.” After the incident, his companions helped him and he was taken to hospital. The wound was on his right leg, above his thigh. “Now I feel fine. It did not touch my bone”, he affirms, although he is aware that this accident could have been fatal. It is not the first time that he has had a hunting incident, since in 2005 he received a bullet in another hunt in the same place in Pedreda.
