Back to school 2021: health protocol, vaccination, pass, mask … what you need to know – South West

The start of the school year will take place on September 2 and “all schools will be open”, Jean-Michel Blanquer said Thursday, the Minister of National Education. But the year will not be a normal school year. Health protocol, vaccination, health pass, adjustments … Here is everything you need to know for the start of the 2021 school year.

The dates

From kindergarten to high school, the pre-entry for teachers will take place on Wednesday, September 1. The start of the school year for students will take place on Thursday, September 2.

The sanitary protocol

For now, the proposed health protocol is differentiated into several colors depending on the alert level: green, yellow, orange and red. Thus, several scenarios are presented depending on the circulation of the virus at the start of the school year.

Student reception

Face-to-face education is provided for all students, from kindergarten to 12th grade. If the alert level changes to orange, the lessons will be taught in hybrid at the high school, depending on the local context. If the alert level turns red, the lessons will be given in hybrid with a 50% gauge in 4th, 3rd, and high school.

In case of contamination

In elementary school, if a student tests positive, the class is closed from the first case of contamination.

In secondary (middle and high schools), when a student is infected, his unvaccinated classmates and contact cases will be forced to continue distance education. Vaccinated students will be able to continue face-to-face teaching.

Wearing the mask

– Green level: the mask is compulsory indoors, from 6th grade until 12th grade. Outside, students must follow the instructions that apply to the rest of the population of the department, depending on the local epidemic situation.

– Yellow level: the mask is compulsory indoors, from the first grade up to the end of the year. Outside, students must follow the instructions that apply to the rest of the population of the department, depending on the local epidemic situation.

– Orange level: the mask is compulsory indoors and outdoors, from the first grade up to the final year.

– Red level: the mask is compulsory indoors and outdoors, from the CP to the terminal.

When a student tests positive

In primary: a positive case will result in the closure of the class.

In college and high school: if a case is positive, the unvaccinated will go home, the vaccinated will stay in class.

At the university: a seven-day isolation is recommended for any student positive for Covid-19, and for all of his contact cases.

Vaccination in schools

For pupils aged 12 to 17, vaccination has been possible since June 15. To extend vaccination coverage for this age group, vaccination campaigns will be carried out in middle and high schools.

Health pass

Access to schools will not be subject to presentation of the health pass.

An educational continuity plan

Schools must develop an educational continuity plan.

Goal ? Ensure the continuity of learning if the students are no longer received face-to-face.

When ? It is implemented in case of hybrid reception or when the teaching is organized entirely at a distance.

Baccalaureate: what adjustments?

The anticipated French exams in the first class and the four exams (2two specialty exams + philosophy + grand oral) organized in final will represent 60% of the 100 coefficients. Continuous monitoring for 40%.

The continuous assessment represents the general average of all the disciplines that are not the subject of final exams (modern languages, history-geography, physical and sports education, specialized education followed in first class, moral education and civics and optional lessons).

Common assessments are deleted.
