Two dead since the start of the fires

The young woman, aged 32, was on vacation in the south in the Massif des Maures. She was staying in a gîte in the town of Grimaud. Not found since last Monday, she had left a voicemail message to her relatives in which she indicated to be surrounded by flames.

According to our colleague from France 3, his body was found in a building completely charred by fire. Another victim, a man, is also to be deplored and was found in the company of Virginie Spiwack.

Virginie Spiwack was established in the town of Bures-sur-Yvette as an event caterer. Her family lives not far from there, in Gif-sur-Yvette. She had also left the city to go to the Var to help with research.
