We love green, a Parisian pop and electro festival scheduled for September 10 to 12 this year, threw in the towel. The organizers said Thursday that for them, “conditions” they were not “more united from an artistic, health, administrative and financial point of view”, to maintain itself.
“Day after day, the risks of cancellations are becoming clearer: complications on the rare dates planned in France for the few international or even French artists, due to transport, vaccination, contamination”, they continue in a press release. The American Young Thug, the English of London Grammar and Squid, or even Catherine Ringer were to perform at We Love Green, traditionally scheduled for the beginning of June, but who thought to move in September to ensure its outfit.
This outdoor meeting had even planned to reduce its capacity a little, with 20,000 spectators per day against 80,000 in total in 2019. This is the second cancellation after 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We Love Green joins the list of other major current music festivals that could not be held this summer such as Hellfest, Lollapalooza or Main Square. The festival invites ticket holders to be reimbursed by requesting it on the site by We Love Green.
The other festivals that took place this summer have reduced their tonnage, such as Printemps de Bourges, Vieilles Charrues, Francofolies. Without forgetting the Eurockéennes, which presented an alternative format.
