The risk of violent thunderstorms accompanied by intense rain will be particularly high this Wednesday according to Météo France. After the peak of heat experienced on Monday, the return of thunderstorms is expected on Tuesday. “Dangerous phenomena are expected”, alert Météo France on its site. “Potentially violent thunderstorms, accompanied by hail, gusts of wind and high intensity rainfall, are expected over a large part of the country from Tuesday, in particular from the Massif Central to Burgundy”, explains the meteorological service. Meteorologists from Météo France Sud-Est estimate the probability of an episode in Gard, Hérault, Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales at 90%.
