The footage shows the moment when a single-engine Cessna plane narrowly escaped a collision with a Boeing 757 passenger plane, DailyMail reports. The single-engine Cessna aircraft came within about 500 feet vertically and 1,500 feet horizontally of the full passenger jet that had taken off from Orlando International Airport. Video shot from inside the Cessna shows how quickly the pilot of the small plane had to react to avoid the Boeing. “I knew it didn’t look good,” pilot Malik Clarke said. At that moment he noticed a plane rapidly ascending directly towards him. He had to react immediately. “I turned right and climbed as steeply as possible because the Boeing 757 climbs much faster than the plane I was flying,” he said. Clark’s quick thinking apparently paid off as both planes narrowly avoided a collision. This could become fatal not only for the pilots of both machines, but also for all Boeing passengers. Former US representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Steve Ganyard is convinced that someone is probably responsible for this incident, but he did not specify who. It could also have been Clarke or the Boeing pilots, whose names have not been released. However, experts assume that the error can also be attributed to problems with the lack of personnel and tension in the labor market, which are currently struggling at 14 American airports.
