The Eurovea Tower project under construction, which should reach a height of 168 meters after completion, has exceeded the threshold for obtaining the title of a skyscraper – namely 150 meters. And that by completing the 44th floor of the building. However, it is not the first significant milestone that the building has achieved since construction began. At the beginning of this year, the rough construction of the skyscraper surpassed half of its final height, it broke the magical 100-meter mark at the end of March, and it became the tallest building in Slovakia in June of this year. “In the coming days, the 17.4-meter-high crown of the skyscraper will begin to be assembled, which will consist of 12 beams composed of two parts. The heaviest part of the crown weighs 4.7 tons. In October, it will be time to concretize the meter-thick ceiling slab on the highest, 45th apartment building floors. The currently built floor displays a digital display on the climbing formwork,” revealed the contractor of the project, J&T REAL ESTATE. It all started at the end of 2019, when construction work began. According to the contractor, the work is continuing according to plan, despite the current situation on the market, when the prices of building materials are increasing at a dizzying speed and the material is being delivered with delays. “By the end of November, we should put the crown on the skyscraper and thus reach its highest point. We are already seeing a positive response to how the tower breaks up the hitherto monotonous panorama of buildings of almost the same height. After completion, its slender rounded silhouette will stand out and become a modern landmark of Bratislava,” says Pavel Pelikán, executive director of JTRE. The building should reach a height of 168 meters in November. Part of the construction within the city district of Eurovea City by the Danube is also the extension of the waterfront promenade, the construction of Pribinova boulevard in preparation for the location of the body of the tram line and other new public spaces, playgrounds and sports fields.
