Iga Swiatek defeats Ons Jabeur, wins the US Open and obtains his third Grand Slam title

Serena fans discuss perhaps the tennis player’s last match 3:53 (CNN) — Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek defeated Tunisian star Ons Jabeur in straight sets in the US Open women’s singles final at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York. The win marks Swiatek’s third career Grand Slam title and first outside of the French Open, which she won in 2020 and 2022. Iga Swiatek. Swiatek’s triumph on Saturday makes her the first seeded woman to win the US Open since Serena Williams lifted the trophy in 2014 and the first woman to win seven titles in a season since Williams herself, also in 2014.
