Charles III proclaimed King

Charles III was formally proclaimed King of the United Kingdom by the Accession Council. The ceremony in London culminated with the announcement from the balcony of St. James’s Palace. “I will follow my mother’s example in supporting constitutional government and in seeking peace, harmony and prosperity for the peoples of these islands and the Commonwealth,” explained the sovereign.
