In Paris, real estate is expensive even if prices no longer soar like these years, but, in return, local taxation is less heavy than elsewhere in France. All Parisians will be exempt from housing tax next year and pay, on average, “only” 710 euros in property tax, against 853 euros for all French people. With the revaluation of rental bases by 3.4% this year, the pain will be heavier for all of the 32 million taxpayers who pay it.
