From the clubs of Montreal, they got to the big sports halls relatively quickly thanks to the anthemic songs. The numerous band took music as a community issue in which they directly involve their fans. They have always been interested in charity, ecology and philanthropy. Arcade Fire frontmen Win Butler and his wife Régine Chassagne were the epitome of a perfect couple, who got it all together on stage and in private. But, as is sometimes the case, a completely different story is hidden behind the perfect facade. Butler: I blew it American music magazine Pitchfork published a major article in which three women and one person who identifies as both female and male accused Win Butler of sexual abuse. The singer defends that the relationships were consensual, but these testimonies could destroy his group. In the past, vain rock star behavior was relatively easy to clean up, but the world has changed a lot in that regard. Four people, who appear in the article under pseudonyms, have made allegations against Butler of various sexual interactions. They described his behavior as inappropriate given the “differences in age, power dynamics and the context in which it occurred.” The victims were fans of Arcade Fire and were in their twenties at the time of the incidents, while Butler was in his forties.
