The ŠTS imposed total sentences of five to 12 years in prison. In the case of Zdenek S., a total sentence of 14 years, since he had already been legally convicted before. All were also sentenced to confiscation of property and three years of protective supervision. The couple Milan M. and Martin M. waived their right to file an appeal. According to her, the defendants helped to clarify the case faster and easier with their confessions. After admitting guilt, the court could only focus on the amount of imposed penalties and protective measures. Most of the defendants originally faced over 20-year sentences. A criminal group from around Serede was supposed to operate in the Trnava region. There were 13 defendants in this case. Seven pleaded not guilty and in their case the process continues at the ŠTS. Slavomír W., who was illegally sentenced to 24 years in prison by the ŠTS in the spring, was supposed to be the leader of the criminal gang from Sered.
