Ukraine, German reporter: “Sorbi said he wanted to go to the red zone”

“What happened to the war reporter Mattia Sorbi?”. Thus began the post on Facebook that Arndt Ginzel, a German colleague of the Italian freelancer who was injured in the Kherson area, had written two days ago. While Sorbi has recently reassured about his condition, also on Facebook, Ginzel explained that he had lost contact with him as early as 31 August. “That morning the freelance from Milan wrote to us that he wanted to go to Oleksandrivka”, a town in the Kherson district located 50 kilometers from Mykolaiv, “in the red zone”, Ginzel emphasized, highlighting how the area was the scene of violent clashes. But when the German journalist arrived in Mykolaiv “at 5 pm on 31 August”, Mattia Sorbi was no longer reachable.
