Galek admitted that the government did not deal with concrete measures against the energy crisis: They agreed on the procedure – Topky.sk

“Today’s government was not about taking measures, it was about informing, and the decision that was made today is that the proposals of the Ministry of Economy go into the regular legislative process, thanks to which the approval of the decision on general economic interest (VHZ) will be released,” said Galek . He added that tasks related to energy were also distributed to other ministries at the meeting, and the government should address this topic again on Wednesday (September 7) at a regular meeting. The government wants to avoid disputes in the implementation of the general economic interest: Therefore, it is changing the legislation, Galek claims. According to VHZ, the State will be able to influence the supply and prices of other electricity than was agreed in the contract with Slovak Power Plants. Therefore, the department’s proposals should reach the parliament in seven days and should be approved in a shortened legislative procedure. After that, according to Galek, nothing will prevent the government from adopting the resolution on the VHZ.
