Hugh O’Leary, who is the husband of the new British Prime Minister

O’Leary grew up in Allerton, a suburb near Liverpool, before his family moved to Heswall. A lovely boy.” After studying econometrics and mathematical economics at the London School of Economics, he became an accountant. He met Truss at the 1997 Conservative Party conference when she was 22, and they got married three years later in 2000. The new premier has already talked about their first date, telling You Magazine in 2019: “Lo I invited them to ice skate and sprained my ankle. ” However, the couple’s married life has not always been plain sailing, but has also gone through difficult times, such as when Truss’s relationship with Tory colleague Mark Field, who is also married, was made public in 2006. But their union survived the ‘scandal’ and neither Truss nor her husband subsequently offered any meaningful commentary on the extra-marital relationship after it went public. Truss replied to the Daily Mail with a curt “I don’t want to talk about it”, while she told You Magazine in 2019 she said she was “really happily married”. In the same year, she shared a photo on Insatagram in which she is portrayed with her husband with the caption “The love of my life” to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Of Hugh O’Leary it should also be known that he tried, unsuccessfully, to enter politics: he tried in the local elections in 2002, when he ran for a seat on the Greenwich council, but obtained only 447 votes. He nevertheless continued to play a role in the party, propaganda with the Tories in the constituency of South East London.
