Visolajský got into trouble with the head of Unilabs: The reason is the investigation of lactose intolerance! Kollár also intervened – Topky.sk

Pediatrician Peter Visolajský pointed out the whole problem over the weekend. As the head of the Medical Trade Union, he regularly informs why the Slovak healthcare system is in such a bad state. According to him, among other problems, the underfunded Slovak health system finances the research of the “Lochness monster”. By this monster, he meant the investigation and diagnosis of lactose allergy. He sees this as a problem for one reason – according to him, such a diagnosis does not even exist in medicine. Archive VIDEO We are forced to file collective resignations, claims Visolajský “Lactose allergy” is medical nonsense. Nevertheless, in Slovakia, private laboratories investigate “antibodies to lactose” using the money intended for the treatment of the sick. One examination in the laboratory costs 16-18 euros. It is interesting not only that our private laboratories are investigating this nonsense, but what is even worse, even sad, is that our excellent health insurance companies reimburse the laboratories for it – they pay the private laboratories the money that you pay to the insurance companies for the sake of treating the sick. Even in these difficult times, Slovakia “doesn’t have” nurses and doctors, but Slovakia always has “entrepreneurs” in the health sector,” Visolajský beamed on the social network. In the post, he also identified the three largest private insurance companies that offer this option – and that Medirex, Agel and Unilabs. Expensive nonsense In his opinion, the purpose of insurance companies should be that they should guard the money of the policyholders that they put into them, so that this money is used as efficiently as possible and for the best possible treatment and diagnosis of their policyholders . As a result, health insurance companies should only pay for adequately provided health care. He added that they should also try to ensure that their clients are as healthy as possible and do not need health care. “The money they save in this way should be their profit – profit for good the work done. Slovak health insurance companies obviously do not work like that, but they do have “profits”. Slovakia is said to have no nurses, no doctors, and new hospitals must be financed by the European Union. But there are always “entrepreneurs” in the health sector, under every government,” he said, repeating that lactose allergy does not exist. He called it a fabrication and a waste of money that could otherwise be used to treat the sick. He added that after all there is only a problem with the digestion of lactose – and that is the inability to digest the milk sugar-lactose. It is lactose intolerance, which, according to Visolajski, has nothing to do with the senseless antibodies that are investigated by our laboratories and reimbursed by our insurance companies. The reaction of the head of Unilabs He responded briefly to his words and the head of the Unilabs laboratory, Peter Lednický himself, tried to explain through his status on the social network what they actually investigate when they measure the level of antibodies in lactose intolerance. have a high correlation (connection) with lactose intolerance in patients,” wrote Lednický at first. Then he tried his best to you can explain even more simply. “Or to put it another way, we measure what makes you bloated (lactose itself does not make you bloated or painful) when you are lactose intolerant. Doctors are happy with it and ask for it, because from their point of view it is a quick and reliable diagnosis. For example , breath tests are longer and the patient has to cooperate, although the genetic test is a direct and accurate diagnosis, it is more expensive,” explains Lednický. He asked the head of Unilabs to explain what type of metabolite they are researching, which he has in mind. “A metabolite from lactose, to which antibodies bind and form? And where else in the world do they investigate this? I mentioned all the laboratories that investigate this nonsense. You also have “antibodies against lactose” in your offer. I do not want to question your expertise, which you have already confirmed repeatedly, but no lucid laboratory should investigate this,” Visolajský concluded the shootout.
