As for the Christmas holidays, they fall on December 23, 2022 until January 8, 2023, starting on a Friday in December and ending on a Sunday in January. Half-yearly holidays are a thing of the past Some parents and schoolchildren may not be happy that this school year they won’t have any more half-yearly holidays (even if only for one day). The Ministry of Education said goodbye to them. Spring holidays with regional differences But you should pay more attention to spring holidays, which for years have been characterized by their different beginning and end depending on the region in which you live. For example, for the Bratislava, Nitra and Trnava regions, these start on February 18 (Saturday) 2023 and end on February 26, 2023 (Sunday). In the case of the Banskobystrické, Žilina and Trenčín regions, the date will be February 25 (Saturday) to March 5 (Sunday) 2023. The spring holidays also concern the Košické and Prešov regions, which are the last to have them, namely the 4th (Saturday) to March 12 (Sunday) 2023.
