Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will file a lawsuit against her attacker

Defense of the vice president of Argentina will sue the attacker 3:23 (CNN Spanish) — The vice president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, will appear this Monday as a plaintiff in the case that investigates the attack she suffered last Thursday, as confirmed by Gregorio Dalbón , one of the lawyers representing her. Dalbón made these statements both to the official Télam agency and to various local media in reference to the case being investigated by Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti and Prosecutor Carlos Rívolo. In addition, he referred to the note published by the newspaper Página 12, which maintains that the technical expertise on Fernando Sabag Montiel’s cell phone would have failed in the task of recovering the information and that it is at risk of being lost. In this sense, he assured that, in case irregularities are proven, those responsible will be accused of “negligence and aggravated cover-up.” According to Télam, based on judicial sources, the cell phone that Sabag Montiel was carrying suffered a reset when the experts were trying to extract information, so it could be impossible to access that fundamental evidence for the investigation. However, the same agency clarifies that there are conflicting versions between the court and the security forces that participated in the expert reports. CNN has not independently confirmed what was reported about the phone, and tried to contact the Argentine Federal Police and sources close to the investigation for comment, without success.
